Grace, it hurts so much to lose you,
We miss you every day.
You’ll always be our sweet little angel,
You fought so hard to stay.
Mommy, I miss you,
And Daddy and Daniel the same.
I wish I could be your baby,
I’m so sorry my time came.
Grace, it was way too soon,
There are so many things we’d share.
Dolls, crafts, and all your ‘firsts’,
Even pigtails in your hair.
Mommy, we made such a team,
It hurts to see you sad.
Please know I’m with the angels,
And you gave me all you had.
Grace, I’ll treasure our first moment,
It’s deep inside my heart.
You squeezed mommy’s finger,
Truly, an amazing start.
Mommy, you held me in your arms,
Don’t worry, I felt your love.
And now I will watch over you,
From heaven up above.
